Dear Customer,
Thank you for buying the new JBL CristalProfi m Mat Filter. We would like to
congratulate you on your choice of this innovative filter. The combination of the mat
filter principle with the state-of-the-art technology for internal filters are key factors in
the design of this filter.
Safety advice
Only for use with aquariums and only to be used indoors.
If a multi-socket extension is used, it should be positioned above the filter
power connection.
Caution: Please observe basic safety precautions to protect against injuries and
electric shocks. These include the following:
1. All safety advice should be read before operation and complied with.
2. Caution: As these internal filters are in contact with water, particular care must
be taken to avoid electric shocks. Should one of the following situations arise,
the appliance must be repaired by an authorised specialist or disposed of. Do not
attempt to repair the appliance yourself:
a) If another appliance falls into the water, do not try to regain it!! Pull the
power plug first and then remove the device.
b) Do not use the appliance if the supply cord or mains plug are damaged.
Please dispose of the appliance.
c) Please position the aquarium and the internal filters next to the wall
socket in such a way that no water can splash onto the plug or socket.
The mains supply cord of the appliance should form a "drip loop" to
prevent water trickling along the cord to the socket.
Never pull out the plug if the socket or plug becomes wet. First switch off
the circuit to which the appliance is connected (safety switch) and then
disconnect the plug. Check the socket and plug for water.
3. The appliance may be used by children over the age of 8 and by persons with
a physical, sensory or mental impairment, as well as by inexperienced persons,
if they are under supervision. They need to have received an introduction to
how to use the appliance for this purpose and be aware of the risks of use. The
appliance is not a toy. Children should not clean the appliance or do maintenance
on it unless they are over the age of 8 and are being supervised.
4. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply when the appliance is
not in use, before dismantling or installing parts or before cleaning the appliance.
