7. Operation

The surveillance camera is not weather-resistant. Ensure a dry
environment when operating it.
Make sure no magnetic or electromagnetic fields or heat
sources are in the vicinity of the surveillance camera or the wall
power supply.
Do not subject the camera or the wall power supply to heavy
mechanical stress. The components can be damaged by pres-
sure, traction or when dropped even from a low height.
Direct sunlight or other direct light sources can have a signifi-
cantly negative effect on the recording quality.
Before first use, the built-in battery must be fully charged. It is charged using the
provided USB cable either being connected to a computer or to the provided wall
power supply. During the charging process the "CHARGE/LOW POWER" status
LED (13) glows red. When the battery is fully charged, the "CHARGE/LOW POW-
ER" status LED (13) goes out.
When battery voltage is low during operation, the "CHARGE/
LOW POWER" status LED (13) lights up.
In this case, recharge the battery.
The surveillance camera is equipped with an attachment clip which allows you to
carry it e.g. on your shirt pocket.
Insert an SD or MMC memory card into the "SD/MMC card slot" (7). The surveil-
lance camera supports SD/MMC memory cards of up to 2 GB.
