3.6 Vacuum test

Start a test run to check the complete vacuum system.
Couple a large mixing bowl with stirring mechanism in the unit.
Start the test run by pressing the adjusting wheel.
After the test run passing of the text is confirmed with the display of "OK" (accepted), failing of the
test with the display of "NOK" (not accepted).
Please note that only a test run with a large mixing bowl produces correct test
results.

Maintenance and care

4.1 General

Maintenance and care include work which ensure perfect operational reliability of the Multivac
compact.
Check the unit for mechanical damage in regular intervals. In this way accidents and
unit breakdowns can be prevented.
Immediately remove contaminations from all movable components. Only in this way
smooth running and proper function of these components are ensured.
The motor of the stirring mechanism and the vacuum pump are maintenance-free; the use of
vacuum oil is not required.
Prior to cleaning the unit must be switched off and unplugged.
When cleaning the unit make sure that no moisture can penetrate into the unit. In this
way you avoid short-circuits which may result in the breakdown of the unit or in
setting the unit on fire.
Do not open the unit. Hazardous voltages have been applied in the unit. Repairs must only
be performed by authorized service technicians.
Manipulations of the unit reduce the operational reliability and include the risk of damage to
persons or materials.
