Environmental protection

The packaging material can be
recycled. Please do not throw
the packaging material into
household waste; please send it
for recycling.
Old appliances contain valuable
materials that can be recycled;
these should be sent for recy-
cling. Batteries, oil, and similar
substances must not enter the
environment. Please dispose of
your old appliances using appro-
priate collection systems.

Proper use

DANGER
Mortal danger on account of cuts in case of
unintended use!
DANGER
Risk of injury due to cuttings being flung!
Maintain a minimum distance from nearby
persons: 15m.
DANGER
Danger of death due to cutting injuries! Do
not use saw blades or brush blades
 This appliance is suitable for commer-
cial use.
 The string trimmer can be used for trim-
ming grass on walls, fences, trees and
on edgings.
 The string trimmer can also be used for
mowing in places that are difficult to ac-
cess with lawnmowers such as ditches,
slopes and clearings.
 Modifications and changes that are not
authorised by the manufacturer are pro-
hibited for safety reasons.
 The string trimmer is suitable for work in
the open air.
 Never mow in damp environments or
during rain.
 Never mow wet grass or other growth.

the battery from the device for all prepara-
tory work.

Installing the string guard

WARNING
Risk of injury! Never operate the string trim-
mer without the string guard.
WARNING
Risk of injury! A blade is attached to the
string guard.
Prior to initial startup, the string guard
needs to be installed:

 Insert string guard into the bracket.
 Screw string guard into the bracket.
The string guard must be facing the op-
erator!

Insert the battery

NOTICE
Only use completely charged batteries.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the string trimmer and
the battery. Check battery holder and con-
tacts for dirt where necessary before inser-
tion and clean them where necessary.
 Push the battery into the retainer until it
audibly snaps into place.

Remove battery

WARNING
Risk of injury! Always remove the battery
pack during work breaks and for mainte-
nance / care tasks.
