Assembling the Camera, Start-up
The sunscreen is attached to the camera housing with a screw.
On the other side of the camera, there is another thread available for
the mounting bracket.
Screw the radio antenna securely into the corresponding socket on
the back, but do not use any force when so doing.
Do not point the camera directly at a source of bright sunlight or at
strong or indirect illumination as this may lead to overexposure and
a fuzzy picture.
Do not mount the camera in the direct vicinity of metal objects or
other transmitters on the same frequency (e.g. WLAN devices or
similar), since this reduces the range.
The camera is suitable for outdoor use (IP66).
Choose a suitable position to install the camera, where it is directed
towards the object to be monitored.
Mark the installation position on the wall (e.g. with a pencil) and se-
cure the bracket to the wall. Use appropriate screws and, if neces-
sary, plugs.
Make sure that cables or wires are not damaged when drilling or
bolting in place.
Screw the camera onto the bracket and position the camera.
Connect the camera to the wall plug transformer and plug the wall
plug transformer into a standard wall socket.
• If the product is not to be used for some time (e.g. during storage), unplug the wall plug trans-
former.
• Always unplug the wall plug transformer from the wall socket before cleaning the device.
• In the event of a thunderstorm, unplug the power supply unit for safety reasons.
• The design of the power transformer complies with protection class II. Only connect the wall
plug transformer to a standard wall socket connected to the public supply.
• When mounting the product, make sure that the connection cable is not squeezed or dam-
aged by sharp edges.
• In the event of unusually high temperatures, strange noises or smoke during use, unplug the
product from the mains immediately.
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the product emits only
relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-support systems.
• Never use the product in the vicinity of medical devices (e.g. pacemakers).
• Make sure that the product is suffi ciently ventilated. Do not operate the product when it is
covered.
• The use of the surveillance camera system does not replace personal supervision of children
or people who require special assistance, but only serves as a support to this supervision.
