6. How to insert and remove
a alternation-plug-in-unit
To prevent data lost and damages of the SCSI-hard disk and
SCSI-Controller, please remove or insert the alternation-plug-in-
unit only while the PC is switched off and separate from the main
voltage.
a) Removing the alternation-plug-in-unit
Close all applications and switch the computer over the main plug off. It is not
enough to switch the computer over the ATX-Power-key off.
Open the alternation-plug-in-unit with the key-switch, turn the grip 90 decree
upwards and remove the alternation-plug-in-unit with the installed hard disk.
b) Inserting the alternation-plug-in-unit
Close all applications and switch the computer over the main plug off. It is not
enough to switch the computer over the ATX-Power-key off.
Insert the alternation-plug-in-unit and close it with the key-switch. Start your PC
again!
7. Handling
It is only allowed to insert or remove the alternation-plug-in-unit, when all applicati-
ons were closed and the PC is switched off and the when the PC is removed from the
main voltage. It is not enough to switch the computer over the ATX-Power-key off.
Switch the PC over the main plug button on the back of the PC off, or remove the
man plug line.
Do not tilting the alternation-plug-in-unit while insert it in the alternation-rack.
Do not use violence while you insert the alternation-plug-in-unit to the alternation-
rack.
Please transport the alternation-plug-in-unit real carefully. Ideal for transporting is a
case with foamed material. Hard disk are very sensitive. May there were important
data on the hard disk in the alternation-plug-in-unit, which can be lost. So be really
carefully with this item.
8. Maintenance and Cleaning
This device need no maintenance.
An attendance or a repair only has to be done by a specialist or by a special works-
hop.

ponsables de dommages en découlant.
Ce produit possède des arêtes vives et des éléments saillants : sa manipulation peut
occasionner des blessures. Ne laissez pas ce produit à la portée des enfants !
Lors de la manipulation, de l'installation / du retrait du disque dur ou du boîtier, les
mesures de sécurité nécessaires contre une charge électrostatique doivent être pri-
ses (par ex. mise à la terre, support non conducteur, etc.).
Manipulez l'appareil avec précaution : en cas de chocs, de coups ou de chutes,
même d'une hauteur réduite, l'appareil risque d'être endommagé.
4. Installation du boîtier pour disque dur
dans le PC
Si vous ne possédez aucune connaissance technique en matière
d'installation, faites appel à un SPECIALISTE ou à un personnel
compétent !
Un raccordement incorrect risquerait d'endommager le boîtier
pour disque dur de même que votre ordinateur et tous les
appareils périphériques.
Attention, danger de mort !
Mettez hors tension l'ordinateur dans lequel le boîtier pour disque
dur doit être installé ainsi que tous les appareils périphériques et
coupez leur alimentation en les débranchant ! La mise hors tensi-
on à l'aide de l'interrupteur marche/arrêt ne suffit pas !
