Place the camera as desired and fasten it with the delivered Allen keys.
The camera should not be pointed directly at bright sources of light or the
sun, since the image will be overdriven.
Connection
The camera is equipped with a connection cable with two connectors at
the end:
• BNC connector: This enables the video signal (PAL). Use an adapter if you
do not have a BNC cable for connection.
• Circular bush: Connect the external power supply to this plug. Ensure to
use only a stabilised power supply unit with an output voltage of 12 V/DC
(direct current) (see chapter "Technical Data" at the end of the operating
manual).
Ensure the correct polarity of the connector plug for power supply
(inner contact = Plus/+, outer contact =
Minus/-); otherwise the camera may be damaged, loss of guarantee/
warranty!
If you install and use the camera in outdoor areas, the two connec-
tors may only be placed in a location that is protected from humidity
(in dry indoor areas). Otherwise, the connectors will corrode.
Set the correct input channel at the display device to display the camera
image.
Subsequently, adjust the camera in a precise manner in order to be able to
monitor the desired image section.
In darkness the IR LEDs are automatically activated. However, the LEDs
are not visible to the human eye. Please bear in mind that at night image
reproduction changes from colour into black and white monochrome rep-
resentation.
Cleaning
Occasionally clean the camera from dust and dirt, especially the front lens.
Use a dry, clean and soft cloth, moistened with water. Do not rub too hard
to avoid scratch marks on the glass lens, which leads to deteriorating image
quality.
Never point the water jet of a garden hose or a high pressure cleaner at the
camera; do not use aggressive cleaning agents either.

Tips and Advice

• Do not operate the camera outdoors without using the sun screen cover,
since this will cause overheating and damage the camera.
• Install the camera in a place where it can not be reached without auxiliary
means.
The same applies to the connection cables. Ideally, they should be
installed inside a plastic or metal pipe.
• Depending on the mounting location, ensure to use a suitable lightning
protector (e.g. installation on a pole).
• Increased cable lengths may cause a deterioration of the video signal. In
this case, use an appropriate amplifi er.
If the cable used to supply the power is too long, the voltage will drop and
thus, the operating voltage for the camera may no longer be suffi cient.
This may lead to stripes in the image or to a signal loss. If necessary, use
a cable with a larger cross-section to reduce the voltage drop.
