e) Calibrating
You can calibrate the sensor, i.e. adjust it to your body and running circumstances in order to ensure that
training data is measured accurately. For example, stride length and height vary from runner to runner,
which would lead to different distance readings. Even after calibration, distance measurements may not be
exact because factors such as running technique, nature of the running surface and its gradient affect the
measurement readings.
1. In the ALA COACH+ app, go to the menu option
2. Choose a known distance, e.g. between two milestones,
3. Press "Start" and begin running to calibrate the running
4. Press "Stop" when you have run the corresponding distance.
5. Press "Save" until "stride write OK" is displayed.

Maintenance and cleaning

• The product does not require maintenance except for occasional cleaning. Use a soft, antistatic and lint-
free cloth to clean the device.
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaning materials.
• Check the optical sensor from time to time. Use a soft brush to remove dust particles from the sensor.
