1 Features
The TM-15 is a powerful, battery-operated mega-
phone. It has a maximum power of 25 W and offers two
switchable signal sounds.

3 Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
CAUTION
Never operate the megaphone close to
anybodyʼs ears; the amplified voice or
howlback may cause hearing damage.

Never put down the unit in humid environments and
protect it against excessive heat (admissible ambi-
ent temperature range 0 – 40 °C).

Never use the unit in the rain. Make sure that no liq-
uid will penetrate the unit.

For cleaning only use a soft cloth, dry or slightly
damp; never use chemicals or aggressive deter-
gents.

No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the unit is used for other purpos-
es than originally intended, if it is not correctly oper-
ated, or not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.

4 Inserting Batteries
1) Open the latch (3) and unfold the battery compart-
ment cover (4).
2) Insert eight 1.5 V batteries of C size into the battery
compartment. Observe the correct polarity (see
imprint in the battery compartment).
3) Close the battery compartment; fold the cover (4)
upwards and lock it with the latch.
If the unit is not used for a longer period (e. g. more
than a week), the batteries should be removed to pre-
vent damage to the unit due to battery leakage.
Do not put dead batteries or defective re -
chargeable batteries into the household rub-
bish but take them to a special waste dispos-
al (e. g. collecting container at your retailer).

5 Operation

1) For talking, set the switch (7) to position SPEAK.
Talk into the microphone (5) and keep the talk
switch (1) pressed. Hold the microphone as close to
your mouth as possible.
2) Adjust the desired volume with the control (6). In
case of howlback, turn back the control accordingly.
3) To switch on the siren or the whistling sound, set the
switch (7) to position SIREN or WHISTLE and press
the talk switch (1).
