OPERATION

a) Logging the measurement
Before you use the vibration logger, program it using the software Voltsoft Standard or Profes-
sional. To this end, follow the instructions of the software.
The recording can be done manually or automatically.
For manual recording, press and hold the "4" button for at least 2 seconds. The green LED "2"
blinks four times. Afterwards, the logging process starts automatically and the green LED "2"
fl ashes every 10 seconds.
In automatic mode the vibration logger starts the recording automatically when the time
preset with the Voltsoft software has passed. The green LED "2" blinks every 10 seconds.
Once the preset recording time is reached, the recording is terminated automatically.
After carrying out the settings in the Voltsoft software, the vibration logger can also record
values automatically when it detects vibrations and blows.
All values will be saved after the recording.
You can terminate the recording in each mode by pressing the "4" button for at least 2
seconds.
Once the internal memory is full, both LEDs fl ash every 60 seconds. Read the logged meas-
uring results using the Voltsoft software and delete the internal memory.
b) Reading out the values
1. Connect the Voltsoft Software and connect the data logger to the computer. Follow the
instructions of the software manual (chapter 3).
2. Disconnect the data logger from the USB port of your computer after reading out the
values.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

The vibration logger requires no servicing on your part, apart from any occasional replace-
ment of the battery.
Never clean the data logger while it is in the logging or reading mode.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as these
can cause discolouration. Do not press too strongly on the surface when cleaning, to prevent
scratch marks.
