Manual DCF search
• To search for the DCF signal manually (e.g. if you have changed the position of the alarm
clock), press and hold the WAVE button (10) for approx. 3 seconds.
• The alarm clock will then start to search for a signal. Wait until the current time is displayed,
as described above. The
radio tower symbol is displayed.
• To abort the search for a DCF signal, hold down the WAVE button for approx. 3 seconds.
Settings
The time/alarm setting process will be terminated if you do not press a button for approx.
20 seconds. The alarm clock then reverts to the normal display mode.
Hold down the +/- button (8, 9) to move through the numbers more quickly.
a) Setting the time
You only need to set the time manually if you are using the alarm clock outside the
DCF reception area, if the desired time zone is not the German time zone or the DCF
reception is impaired due to the surroundings.
• Hold down the MODE button (6) until the time zone flashes.
• Press the + button (8) or the - button (9) to change the time zone. Confirm your selection with the
MODE button. The hour value flashes.
• Press the + button or the - button to change the hour value. Confirm your selection with the
MODE button. The minute value flashes.
• Press the + button or the - button to change the minute value. Confirm your selection with the
MODE button. The alarm clock then reverts to the normal time display mode.
b) Setting the alarm time
• Press the MODE button (6) to switch to the alarm display. "AL" is displayed on the screen.
• Hold down the MODE button. The hour value for the alarm time starts to flash.
• Press the + button (8) or the - button (9) to change the hour value. Confirm your selection with
the MODE button. The minute value flashes.
• Press the + button or the - button to change the minute value. Press the MODE button to confirm
the setting.
c) Enabling/disabling the alarm
• Press the ALARM button (7) once to enable the alarm. The

d) Turning off the alarm & snooze function

• To turn off the alarm completely, press any button.
• If the alarm is not switched off manually, it will turn off automatically after approx. two minutes
and will go off again the next day at the preset alarm time.
e) Resetting
• To reset the alarm clock, remove the batteries and then reinsert them.
• To reset the display to zero, press the RESET button (12) using a sharp pencil or similar tool.
f) Turning on the backlight
Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4) to turn on the backlight for approx. 5 seconds.
g) Changing the time format
Press the + button (8) repeatedly to switch between 12- and 24-hour format. In the 12-hour format,
times before 12:00 midday are marked with "AM"; times after 12:00 midday are marked with "PM".
h) Selecting the temperature unit
Press the - (9) button to change the temperature unit (°C or °F).
i) Daylight saving time (summer time)
The
symbol is displayed when the summer time signal is received via DCF.

j) Comfort zone display
The comfort zone display (3) shows the relationship between temperature and humidity in the
surrounding environment as humid, dry or comfortable.

> 75 % relative humidity
66 - 74 % relative humidity

Maintenance and cleaning

Never use aggressive and abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions, as these could damage the housing or even impair the functioning of the
product.
• The product does not require any maintenance apart from changing the batteries. Never
disassemble it.
• Remove the batteries before cleaning the device. Only use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean
the product. Dust can be easily removed using a clean and soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from
the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals
involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable)
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
