17. INSTrUCTIoNS For DISPoSAL

[§9 Sec. 2 of the German Law on Electric and Electronic Appliances §10 Sec.
3]
Used electric and electronic devices should no longer be disposed of together
with unsorted domestic waste in accordance with European specifications
[1]. They must be disposed of separately. The symbol representing a wheel-
mounted dustbin indicates that they must be collected separately.
Please do help protect the environment and take care that this device is
collected separately in waste disposals for this purpose, if you are no longer
willing to use it.
In Germany, you are obliged by law [2] to dispose of old devices separately
from unsorted domestic waste. Public disposal organisations (local authorities)
have arranged appropriate collecting points where old devices can be disposed
of free of charge by private households in your area. Old devices may also be
collected from private households by legally authorised disposal organisations, if
necessary.
Please consult your local waste-collection calendar or your municipal
corporation or local authorities to obtain information about the possibilities
provided in your own area for returning or collecting old devices.
