3. INSTALLATIoN INSTrUCTIoNS

Please read the "Warnings and safety instructions" section before
starting any installation operations
Note:
Please use a screwdriver for installation of the power supply unit. You will find
proper power supply screws within the accessory box.

3.1 Please proceed as follows by replacement of power supplies:

1. Disconnect your computer from any source of power, and pull out all PC-
connected cables carefully.
2. Open the PC case in accordance with the instructions, which are given by
the computer case manufacturer.
3. Disconnect all power-supply connections from the mainboard and of any
other peripheral devices (e.g. HDD, FDD, CDROM, DVD-R, VGA and fans, as
well as any front panels, if installed). Make sure that all cable connections to
the power supply unit are duly pulled out.
4. Now take the old power supply unit out of the PC case, in accordance with
the support of uninstall and removal instructions of the former manufacturers.

3.2 Install the new be quiet! power supply unit as follows:

1. Open the PC case and screw the power supply unit on the specified power
supply mounting plate. Use the proper installation screw and follow the
instructions, which are given by your PC chassis manufacturer.
2. Now insert the 24-pin main current connection into the appropriate socket
on your mainboard by following the descriptions which are given by your
mainboard manufacturer.
Please make sure the usage of the 20-pin plug in combination with the 4-pin

plug ( = 24 pins).
