2. WArNINGS AND SAFETy INSTrUCTIoNS
Please read all sections of the present manual carefully before putting the unit
into operation, and comply with the instructions they contain. This is the only
way to make sure that the power supply unit will be operated in a technically
appropriate manner for you to enjoy using it for quite a long time.
Never put the unit into operation with wet or humid hands. No objects should
be introduced into the apertures/blowers of the power-supply unit.
Please note that the present power-supply unit is intended for indoor operation
only. Serious damage may be caused if used outdoors.
Do not carry out any operations on the power-supply unit if it is still connected
to main supply appliances. If any operations have to be done, pull the main plug
out of the socket, after placing the main switch on the unit to „0" before.
Should a short circuit occur inside the unit, remove the main cable, and do not
put the unit into operation again.
This power supply is designed for a voltage range (AC) of between 110 - 240V
which means that it is universally applicable.
Power supplies without any appropriate universal AC input markings should not
be used in countries with a mains voltage of 110V, for example.
The power supplies input may be destroyed by inappropriate AC voltage.
Make sure that your PC is not operating close-by a heater or any other source
of heat. This will shorten the life-time of all components, and causes failures.
Be careful that the case of your computer is adequately ventilated, e.g.
by using additional fans. Current ATX power supplies are not exclusively
responsible for the heat-dissipation out of any PC case.
If you want to clean your power supply unit, cut it entirely off the main, and do
not use any damp cloths or cleaning agents. Clean power supplies from outside
only using a dry cloth.
Restart the power supply unit after one hour only under ambient conditions, as
condensation water may otherwise develop inside the power supply unit.
The power-supply unit cover should never be opened.
The electronic components installed generate high
voltage values which are detrimental to humans' health.
High voltage continues to be frequently conveyed by
components even after the unit has been switched off the
mains. A power-supply unit may be opened by authorised
skilled staff only. Opening the power-supply unit will damage
the guarantee seal, thus causing the guarantee to expire
as a result.
