Acceptance test (in case of industrial/public use):
Before first use and after any significant modifications, the installation (including the electrical
connections) must be checked by a specialist.
A yearly check by a technical expert is necessary.
At least every four years, a quality inspection must be carried out by a technical expert.
• Mount the effects spotlight on the ceiling, wall or a suitable crossbeam. Make sure that the device cannot swing
freely when installing it.
• Secure the device with fastenings that are compatible with the fastening surface and suitable for carrying the
weight of the light effect device.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. The safety restraint cable or net
must be able to support the light effect device in the event of a fault in the main support system.
• Set the desired angle of inclination and tighten the bracket locking screws well.

Connection of a DMX Controller

Only connect the device to a DMX controller with DMX-512 protocol.
• Connect the port DMX IN (2) with the output of the DMX controller.
• Use a screened XLR cable. The controller must have 3 (Octopod 75 Strobe FX model) or 4 (Octopod 75 Strobe
FX LOD Spot model) free control channels.
• Connect DMX OUT (3) with the DMX input of the subsequent device. If the light effect is the last or only device
in the DMX chain, insert a plug with a 120 Ohm/0.25 W terminator here (between Pin2 and Pin3).

Pin assignment of the DMX connection: Pin1 = ground / Pin2 = (-) / Pin3 = (+)
