Congratulations on choosing the Gazelle PS. We are absolutely
certain that it will meet your expectations to a modern aid
like this. The Gazelle PS is available in 3 sizes and is for chil-
dren from 1 to 14 years of age. The many adjustment possi-
bilities and the wide range of accessories mean that it adjusts
to children with different types of handicaps.
The Gazelle PS is primarily for prone standing, however, supine
standing is also possible. Its tilts infinitely from vertical to 15
past horizontal. It's best to place the child with the Gazelle PS
in horizontal position.
For children with the need of additional support, side supports
and a facial plate can be mounted. Table (with or without
bowl) can be used to occupy the child and to support the
child's arms.
When the child is in the Gazelle PS you have to be aware of
the following:

the child should be placed with an even weight distribu
tion on both feet.

the pelvis should have the correct tilt (forward/backward).
-
the pelvis should be in horizontal alignment.
-
there should be a straight line from head to foot.
Because of contractions etc., not all of the above points can
be fulfilled every time.
The best tilt angle varies from child to child. Often a light
forward tilt is appropriate, however the vertical position is
preferable for children with muscular atrophy.
Prone/supine standing helps:
-
prevent misdevelopment of the hips.
-
prevent contractions of the hip, knee, and foot joints.
-
prevent scoliosis (crooked back).
-
provide pressure relief of the seat.
-
provide the possibility of having an active hand- and arm-
function.
-
promote the circulation.
-
promote the motoric development.
-
provide psychological well-being.

Wir möchten Ihnen für das entgegengebrachte Vertrauen und
den Kauf unseres Produktes danken. Wir sind überseucht, daß
die "Gazelle PS" Ihren Erwartungen und Vorstellungen eines
modernen Hilfsmittels entspricht.
Die "Gazelle PS" gibt es in drei verschiedenen Größen für
Kinder im Alter vor 1 bis 14 Jahren.

Durch die vielfältigen Einstellmöglichkeiten läßt sich die
"Gazelle PS" ideal einsetzen als:

Stehständer

Bauchschrägliegebrett
-
Wippenliege (schwenkbarer Tisch)

Drainageliege
Die "Gazelle PS" darf nur für die oben aufgeführten An-
wendungen benutzt werden. Für alle anderen Anwendungen
und i Verbindung damit entstehender Schäden jeglicher Art,
übernimmt der Hersteller keinerlei Haftung.
Beim Gebrauch der "Gazelle PS" erhalten selbst Kinder mit
geringer bzw. schlechter Kontrolle der Kopfhaltung oder
Körperstabilität die Möglichkeit ihr Umfeld aus einer ande-
ren Perspektive zu sehen, als wenn sie sitzen oder liegen.
Durch die Mobilität der "Gazelle PS" kann sie leicht an ei-
nen Tisch oder ähnlichem plaziert werden. So kann das Kind
an den Aktivitäten anderer beteiligt werden. Dadurch wird
auch das Sozialverhalten des Kindes positiv gefördert.
Somit erfüllt die "Gazelle PS" die Zielsetzungen der
Rehabilitation vor bewegungsgehemmten Kindern, indem sie
die Möglichkeit bekommen, ihre "eigenen inneren" Stärken
sowohl motorisch, physisch als auch intellektuell, emotionell
und sozial vollständig zu entwickeln.
