After having set the countdown, press the Start / Stop button (24) to start the countdown.

Press the Start / Stop button (24) again to pause the countdown. You can now also correct the time
by using the HR button (22) and the MIN button (23).

Press the Start / Stop button (24) once more to start the countdown again.
6.
When the timer has elapsed, an alarm tone sounds and the backlight starts flashing. The sound
can be deactivated by pressing any button.

You can reset the paused countdown to zero by pressing and holding the Start / Stop button (24).

PrEPArinG MEAT

The thermometer measures the core temperature of food and indicates when it has
been reached. regularly check on the progress of the cooking and always stay
close to the BBQ or oven.
Ensure your grilled food is cut into equal pieces. Only this allows it to be fully and evenly
cooked.
Meat and fish become juicy and delicious when you remove them from the heat source shortly
after the desired core temperature is reached. After they are cooked, leave the larger meat
pieces in the oven at under 70 ºC. Thus the meat juice is distributed evenly inside the meat and
temperatures between surface and core are evened out.

Turn the transmitter and receiver on. (See chapter 9)

Set the required programme for meat type and doneness level on the receiver. (See: chapter 10:
Programme mode)

Place the temperature probe in the meat.
4.
Make sure the temperature probe tip (31) is located in the centre of the thickest part of the meat.
5.
Put the meat on the hot grill or into the hot frying pan.
6.
Place the transmitter at a suitable distance to the heat source. Lay the heat resistant cable in such
a way so that nobody can fall over or get caught in it.
7.
The receiver can be fastened easily to the belt using the belt clip (15) or set up on a level surface
using the stand.

Bear in mind that you have to turn the meat when cooking.
9.
The receiver indicates through signals and voice output when the food is nearly done, and when
it is done. This means the target temperature has been reached. You can turn off the voice output
by pressing any button.
10.
If the target temperature is exceeded too far, the acoustic alarm will be triggered and the backlight
will start flashing. You can turn off the alarm by pressing any button.
11.
After use, turn the transmitter and receiver off. Press and hold the power buttons (2/27) on both
the transmitter and receiver to turn the devices off.
