Safety instruction

We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the product has been
abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe these operating instructions. The
warranty will then expire!
The icon with exclamation mark indicates important information in the operating instructions. Carefully
read the whole operating instructions before operating the device, otherwise there is risk of danger.
3.1

Product safety

• The product must not be exposed to substantial mechanical strain or strong vibrations.
• The product must be protected against electromagnetic fields, static electrical fields, extreme temperatures and moisture.
• The product should not be connected immediately after it has been brought from an area of cold temperature to an area
of warm temperature. Condensed water might destroy the product. Wait until the product adapts to the new ambient
temperature before use.
3.2

Personal safety

• The operation of the product must not divert the user attention away from his/her immediate surrounding.
• The loudspeaker is capable of producing sound pressure levels (SPL) sufficient to cause permanent hearing damage. Avoid
extended exposure to SPL greater than 90 dBA.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children and pets!
3.3

Safety for LiPo rechargeable battery

• The rechargeable battery is permanently installed in the multimedia player and cannot be exchanged by the user.
• Never take the rechargeable battery apart. Damaging the wrapping of the rechargeable battery might cause an explosion
or a fire!
The wrapping of the LiPo rechargeable battery does not consist, like conventional batteries/rechargeable batteries (e.g. AA
or AAA type) of a thin sheet, but consists of a sensitive plastic film only.
• Never short circuit the contacts/connections of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the rechargeable battery or the
multimedia player into open fires. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you do not use the multimedia player. Due to the rechargeable battery
technology used, it is not necessary to discharge the rechargeable battery first.
Simply recharge the rechargeable battery once a month, because the multimedia player also consumes a slight current
quantity when turned off. In this way the device is always ready for use.
• Never recharge the multimedia player unattended.
• During charging, place the multimedia player on a heat-resistant surface. A slight warming during the charge process is
normal.
• Separate the multimedia player from the computer and the enclosed power pack unit when you do not require it.
