g) Resetting the maximum/minimum values
• Briefly press and release several times the "MAX/MIN" button (5), until either the maximum or the minimum
values appear on the display.
• Press and hold down the "MIN/MAX" (5) button for about 3 seconds to reset the minimum/maximum
values.
h) Temperature tendency
The arrows in the area of the indoor or outdoor temperature indicate how the temperature value is changing:
Rising
Constant
Dropping
i) Moon phases
The moon phase matching the set date is indicated on the top right of the display:
New moon
Our tip:
If you wish to see the moon phase of for different date, simply start the setting of time/date and
switch to the date setting by briefly pressing the "MODE" button (1) several times.
Depending on the setting of year, month or day, the display indication will change according to
the moon phase.
j) Weather forecast
The base station displays a weather forecast for the next 12 - 24 hours on the top left of the display.
Sunny
Slightly overcast
Overcast Rain/precipitation
k) Display lighting
Briefly pressing the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button will activate the display lighting for a few seconds. Afterwards,
it goes out automatically to save power.
I) Reset
If the display of the base station shows meaningless characters only, briefly press the "RESET" button in
the battery compartment using e.g. a toothpick. Alternatively, remove the batteries and replace them again
after a few seconds.
Replacing the batteries
a) Base station
The display contrast fades with weakening batteries. A battery icon appears to the left of the indoor tempera-
ture. In that case, replace the batteries with new ones. In the process, all settings and data will be lost. For
further information on how to proceed, consult chapter "Getting started".
b) Outdoor sensor
The outdoor sensor sends a message to the base station indicating that the batteries are weak. A battery icon
appears above the outdoor temperature. In that case, replace the batteries with new ones.
If the outdoor sensor is not recognised after the battery replacement, perform a manual search on the base
station to find the available outdoor sensors.
Range
The transmission range of the radio signals between the outdoor sensor and the base station is up to 30 m
under optimum conditions.
This range specifications refers to the so-called "free-field range".
However, this ideal arrangement (e.g., base station and outdoor sensor on a plain, even meadow without
trees, houses, etc.) never exists in practice.
Normally the base station is set up at home and the outdoor sensor, e.g., is located next to a window.
Due to the different influences on the radio transmission, no specific range can be guaranteed.
However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a single family house. If the base station does not
receive any data from the outdoor sensor (despite new batteries), please shorten the distance between
outdoor sensor and base station or change the location.
Sometimes the range can sometimes be considerably reduced due to:
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated/vapour-deposited insulating glass panes, aluminium windows
• Proximity to metallic & conductive objects (e.g., heating elements)
• Proximity to human bodies
• Broadband interferences, e.g., in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobiles, wireless headphones,
wireless speakers, other wireless base stations, baby monitors, etc.)
• Proximity to cables, electric motors, transformers, power supply units, computers
• Proximity to mains sockets, network cables
• Proximity to computers or other electrical devices that are improperly shielded or operated without any
cover

Maintenance and Cleaning
Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you. Maintenance or repair
work may be performed only by qualified personnel or a specialised repair shop. There are no components
inside of the product that need maintenance by you, this is why you should never open it (apart from the
approach to insert or change the batteries, described in these instructions).
To clean the exterior of the base station, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Do not press too hard on the display of the base station, this may cause scratch marks or the display to
malfunction or the display might even break.
Remove dust on the base station with a long-haired, soft and clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.
To remove stronger soiling from the outdoor sensor, use a soft cloth that is slightly moistened with lukewarm
water.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these could dam-
age (discolouring) the housing or even impair operation.
