Listening with Headphones
You can connect a mono headphone with a 3.5 mm jack connector to
the PHONE jack. When using the headphones, the built-in speaker of
the dictation machine is switched off.
Recording with an external Microphone
You can connect a mono microphone with a 3.5mm jack connector
to the MIC jack.
When using the external microphone the built-in microphone of the
dictation machine is switched off.
Note that you might have to readjust the record setting
(volume/VOX) when recording with an external microphone, since
not all microphones are of equal sensitivity.
Protection against accidental Deleting
of Micro Cassettes
Micro cassettes are provided with protection tabs against acciden-
tal deleting. If you want to avoid accidentally erasing, press the pro-
tection tabs inwards with a screwdriver and then break them off.
The results is that the recording button RECORD can no longer be
enabled. If you want to use a micro cassette with their protection
tabs broken off at a later point, cover the spaces with adhesive tape.
Changing of Batteries
Open the battery compartment lid by pressing on the marking on
the back of the device with the thumb or index finger and slide it
downwards whilst applying slight pressure.
