Put in two round cells (AA,LR6) with correct polarity into the battery
receptacle, see marking on battery receptacle.
After having changed the batteries close the battery receptacle with
the battery compartment lid.
Changing of batteries is necessary when distorted sound occurs or
if the magnetic tape no longer runs at the correct speed.
Tip:
Remove weak batteries instantly to avoid leakage which can cause
damage. Only use battery of recommended types.
Use alkaline batteries to achieve maximum possible operation.
Environmental note!
The end user is under legal obligation to take back
all used batteries and rechargeable batteries (from
round cell batteries to lead rechargeable batteries),
to dispose of them via domestic waste is not per-
mitted.
You can return used batteries and rechargeable
batteries free of charge, to supermarkets, dealer's
shops or local collection centres where special col-
lection boxes are set up for this purpose.
You should also contribute to environmental pro-
tection.
Do not let batteries, round cells, rechargeable batteries lie
around near children. Store them out of reach of children. Bat-
teries, round cells, rechargeable batteries can be fatal if swal-
lowed. In such a case, seek instant medical care. Batteries
must not be short-circuited, thrown into fire or be recharged,
there is a risk of explosion.

Any claims for guarantee will become invalid in the
event of damage that results from the non-obser-
vance of the operating manual. We do not accept
responsibility for such damage.
Nor do we accept responsibility for damage to prop-
erty or for personal injuries caused by improper use
or non-observance of safety instructions. Guaran-
tees will not be accepted in any such case.
The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is
inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
Avoid strong mechanical stress on the device. The device must not
be exposed to high temperatures, strong vibrations, high humidity
or strong magnetic fields.
Please pay attention to the notes regarding the changing of batteries.
Remove the batteries form the device if it is not used for a longer
period of time.
This product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children.
Before cleaning the device or performing maintenance, the follow-
ing safety notes must be observed:
When opening covers or removing parts you may expose live parts.
Therefore, disconnect the device from all voltage sources before
you perform maintenance work or repairs. Capacitors inside the
device may still carry voltage even though you have disconnected
all voltage sources. Repairs may only be carried out by qualified
personnel who are familiar with the hazards involved and the rele-
vant regulations.
Do not leave packing material unattended. Plastic foils or bags,
polystyrene parts, etc. may become dangerous playing material for
children.
