Intended Use
The lamp is intended for illuminating house entrances, driveways, etc. It may be installed in
outdoor areas (taking into account the installation location!).
Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give rise
to hazards such as short-circuiting, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be
modified or converted!
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements.

Explanation of Symbols, Inscriptions
This symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. electric shock.

Protection type IP44 (splash proof ), the product is suitable for use in outdoor areas
The product is suitable for direct installation on normal flammable surfaces. Do not
mount the light on easily flammable surfaces!
Observe the operating instructions!
Safety Instructions
Read the complete operating manual carefully before using the product as it
contains important information about the correct installation and operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential
damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty
will be void in such cases!
Caution!
The product may only be installed by a qualified technician (e.g. electrician)
who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German electrical
wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your own
life but also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself but ask a qualified technician.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not allowed for
safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children! There is the
risk of a fatal electric shock!
• The product may only be operated on the mains voltage (see section "Technical
Data"). Never try to operate the product at another voltage as this will cause its
destruction.
• The product is constructed to protection class I; the earth cable must be
connected.
If there is not a mains supply with a protective earth wire available at the place of
installation, the product must not be connected/used there. In this case, lay a new
supply with a protective earth wire.

Preparations for Installation
Please note:
• The lamp is only be mounted on a vertical wall.
• Without fail, pay attention to the correct installation position for the light; only install it with the
motion detector pointing downwards.
• Only assemble the lamp on a stable surface, e. g. brickwork. Depending on the surface, suitable
screws and wall plugs must be used.
• The light must be installed and used out of the reach of children.
• The lamp must be protected on the distribution board, provided by the user, by a 10/16A fuse.
An earth leakage circuit breaker must be installed before this (FI protective switch).
• The light must be voltage-free during installation. It is not sufficient to just turn off at the
light switch!
Turn the power off, and remove the electric circuit fuse or switch off at the circuit breaker.
Secure it against an unauthorised re-start, e.g. with a danger sign.
• Ensure that the mains connection is free of current e.g. with an appropriate tester.
• The product may be mounted on a vertical wall in indoor and outdoor areas (pro-
tection type IP44, splash proof). Please refer to the section "Installation".
However, the light must not be installed in or under water; danger of a fatal electric
shock!
Never direct a jet of water (e.g. for cleaning) from a garden hose, or similar, at the
lamp!
• Do not use the light in spaces or in adverse ambient conditions, where combustible
gases, vapours or dusts are or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not hang any items (e.g. decorations) on the lamp.
• Attention, LED light:
Do not look directly into the LED light!
Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect
the product immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Let an expert
check the product.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work at all or well (flickering light, leaking smoke or a smell
of burning, the light flickers, audible cracking noises, discolouration to the product
or the adjacent surfaces.)
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
playthings for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the employer's
liability insurance association for electrical systems and operating facilities are to
be observed!
The light may only be installed by a qualified technician (e.g. electrician) who
