11. Removal of Interferences

Dirt water pump does not take in water:
• Open any present shut-off valve on the pressure-side, since air cannot escape from the hose.
• Clean the intake openings of the suction basket; first disconnect the dirt water pump from the mains voltage and
pull the mains plug from the mains socket!
• The water level is too low or air is sucked in as well.
The dirt water pump does not start up or stops during operation:
• Check the power supply.
• The float switch has not been placed correctly. The function of the dirt water pump can be inspected by lifting and
lowering the float switch.
• The pump wheel inside the dirt water pump is blocked by dirt. Disconnect the dirt water pump from the power supply
before inspection of the mains voltage, pull the mains plug from the mains socket!
Then clean the dirt water pump as described in chapter 9.
• The overtemperature protection triggered. Disconnect the dirt water pump from the mains voltage and let the dirt
water pump cool off. Remove the cause for triggering (e.g. water temperature too high, running dry too long, etc.).
The overtemperature protection is self-resetting. After a sufficient cooling phase, the dirt water pump is operational
again.
The conveyed volume drops:
• Clean the intake openings of the suction basket; first disconnect the dirt water pump from the mains voltage and
pull the mains plug from the mains socket!
Also check if the hose is clogged.
• The dirt water pump sucks in air because the intake openings are no longer completely submersed.
• Check attachment of the hose at the hose adapter.
• Check the hose for leaks.
The float switch does not trigger or does not switch off:
• Place the float switch correctly.
• If required, attach the cable to the float switch at the side of the eyelet of the dirt water pump to warrant correct
activation/deactivation of the dirt water pump depending on the water level.
