7. Inserting/Replacing the Rechargeable Battery

The recorder must be switched off during the battery change.
Keep rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the rechargeable battery.
Remove the rechargeable battery when the device is not being used for long periods of time.
Leaking or damaged batteries/accumulators can cause chemical burns to skin when touched without the use of adequate protective
gloves.
The rechargeable battery must not be short-circuited or thrown into a fire. Danger of explosion!
• Unscrew the battery compartment screw on the rear of the device and remove the
lid.
• Insert the enclosed battery in the battery compartment with the correct polarity. The
labels at the battery must correspond to the contacts in the battery compartment.
• Replace the lid of the battery compartment.
• If the device no longer works, the display contrast deteriorates or the charging state
indication in the display shows an empty battery, the battery is flat and must be
recharged.
• Remove the battery if the device is not used for a longer period to avoid leaking or
the batteries becoming flat.
