9. Inserting an SD Card
Always switch off the recorder before inserting or removing any SD card.
The recorder supports SD and SDHC cards up to a storage capacity of 16GB. Other SD cards can lead to malfunctions.
The SD card used must be formatted in FAT32. To format the SD card accordingly, the formatting function of the recorder can be used (see „System
Control" below in these instructions).
If an SD card with an incompatible format is inserted, the display indicates „SD NEED FORMAT! Press [MENU] to confirm Press [Back] to cancel". In
this case, format the SD card by pressing the MENU button.
The recorder can also record a test recording of 70s without an SD card. For more information on this, see „Test Recording without SD Card" below in
these instructions.

10. Connecting a Computer

• Connect the USB socket (5) to your computer's USB port.
• The recorder will be recognised as a removable medium, similar to a USB flash drive.
While the recorder is connected to a computer, the display shows this connection and the device cannot be operated.
Never remove the SD card from the device while it is connected via USB. This may lead to data loss and malfunction.
Always deactivate the recorder as a drive on your computer before disconnecting the USB connection again.
The recorder's battery is charged as soon as it is connected to a USB port.
