dust, flammable gases, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of fire and
explosion!

may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Handle the product with care; it may be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental falls, even from a low height.
Battery and accumulator instructions
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not let batteries/rechargeable batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of bat-
teries being swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries may cause acid burns when
coming into contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggres-
sive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids might be consider-
ably damaged. Thus, store batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
• Normal/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a
fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries, due to risk of explosion! Only
charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable
battery charger.
• Never mix standard batteries with rechargeable batteries, use either standard bat-
teries or rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix batteries/rechargeable batteries with different charge levels (e.g., full
and half-full batteries/rechargeable batteries).
• Always replace the complete set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batter-
ies (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
• If you wish to use rechargeable batteries, please note that, due to the lower output
voltage (batteries = 1.5 V, rechargeable batteries =1.2 V), the operating time will
decrease.
Therefore, we recommend that you use high-quality alkaline batteries to operate the
dummy dome camera in order to ensure long-lasting and reliable operation.

Installation

• Select a suitable mounting location for the dummy dome camera. During installa-
tion, keep the desired alignment of the camera opening in mind.
Using the hinge in the bracket, the dummy dome camera can be mounted on a room
ceiling or even on a wall or something similar.
Adjust the hinge accordingly and screw it in place.
• Attach the dummy dome camera to the ceiling or a wall. Use screws and plugs that
are suitable for the surface.
Please make sure that existing cables or wiring not damaged when drilling/screw-
ing into place.
Inserting/replacing the batteries
• Open the dummy dome camera by slightly turning the front part counter-clock-
wise. Insert two AA batteries with the correct polarity (pay attention to plus/+ and
minus/-).
• Close the dummy dome camera again.
• A battery change is necessary when the LEDs no longer light up at night.

Operation

The LEDs of the dummy dome camera are controlled by a brightness sensor and come
on only when it is dark, to save power.
The weak reddish lighting of the LEDs in the night simulates a function of the camera.
Maintenance and cleaning
Maintenance or repair may be performed only by qualified personnel or a specialised
repair shop. The product contains no parts that require servicing. Therefore, do not
open/dismantle it (except to replace the batteries).
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on the hous-
ing (especially the transparent cover); this could result in scratch marks.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
