Carrying the hedge trimmer
– Only carry the hedge trimmer by the
handle.
– Carry the hedge trimmer with the blade
towards the rear.
– Attach the blade guard for longer dis-
tances.
Working position
DANGER
Risk of fatal injury from cuts, caused by un-
controlled movement of the hedge trimmer.
– Do not hold the hedge trimmer above
shoulder height and do not work above
the head.
– Carry the hedge trimmer at your side so
that body parts do not get in the range
of movement of the blade.

Safety Devices
Safety devices serve for the protection of
the user and must not be put out of opera-
tion or bypassed with respect to their func-
tion.
Release button
The safety button on the handle is for two-
handed control.
The unlocking button blocks the power
switch and thus prevents the hedge trim-
mer from starting up in an uncontrolled
manner.

The blade guard is an important compo-
nent of the safety devices of the hedge trim-
mer.
A damaged blade guard must not be used.
You must therefore replace a damaged
blade guard immediately.
Protective clothing
DANGER
Mortal danger on account of cuts! Wear
suitable protective clothing during work.
Please observe the local accident preven-
tion regulations!
