TaHoma ®
1. INTRODUCTION
TaHoma ® is made up of two components:

‡ The TaHoma unit is connected by a simple LAN port (Ethernet RJ 45) to a compatible
Internet router or ADSL modem (*). The unit is used to control all of the devices incorporating
io-homecontrol ® communication technology (**) in the home. The TaHoma

2. SAFETY
2.1. Safety and liability
Before installing and using this product, please read this guide carefully.
This Somfy product must be installed by a home motorisation and automation professional, for whom
this guide is intended.
Moreover, installers must comply with the standards and legislation in force in the country where the
product is installed, and inform their customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for the
product.

2.2. 6SHFL¿F VDIHW\ LQVWUXFWLRQV
In compliance with standard EN 12453 on safety in use of power operated doors and gates, if
using the TaHoma
essential that the appropriate safety device(s) relating to the automatic device are installed to ensure
compliance with the local safety standards. If these instructions are not complied with, Somfy does not
accept any liability for any damage that may be caused.
To avoid damaging the product:
1) Avoid impacts!
2) Do not drop!
3) Do not spill liquid on the unit or immerse in liquid.
4) Do not use abrasive products or solvents to clean the
product. Its surface can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
5) Do not open the device.
6) Suitable for internal installation only.
7) The product can be switched off by disconnecting the
plug. Please ensure that the plug is always accessible
during use.
