(7) Fault finding

WARNING:
Maintenance work shall have to be carried out with the unit switched off, i.e. with mains plug removed.
PROBLEM
Motor is not operating
The motor is running,
but the impeller turns
irregularly or makes
contact
Unit vibrates excessively Collection of dirt on the

CAUSE
No power to unit.
The unit has not been
switched on.
Impeller is blocked.
Air inlet or outlet is blocked.
Switch has broken off.
Loose wiring.

motor suspension so that the
impeller jams.

the motor to slip out of the

on
B Connect the unit; check the fuse.
B Switch the unit on.
Remove the reason for the blockage.
B Switch the unit off and let it cool down;
B then remove blockage.
Order replacement switch from the dealer
HS or HEYLO.
Check wiring and tighten, if required.
HS
HS Remove the motor from the housing,
replace or repair the bent motor
suspension.
HS Remove the motor from the housing, then
place the motor in the suspension
correctly.
B Clean impeller.
HS Balance or replace the impeller.
HS Replace impeller.
HS Replace motor.
