Telephone Answering Machine

Settings made on the answering machine are played back.
You can listen−in to the caller without actually taking the call. If the answering machine has already
taken the call, you can take the call on the handset at any time simply by removing the handset
from the base station or by pressing the Call button ƒ. Recording of the message is automati-
cally stopped in this case.

Switching the answering machine on/off
Press the “ button to switch the answering machine on or off.
After switching the answering machine on, the outgoing message, heard by the caller, is played
back.
11.2
Setting number of rings for taking a call
It is possible to set the number of times the telephone should ring before the answering machine
takes the calls. The number of rings can be set between 2 and 9. In addition, the toll−saver" setting
is available to use the free pre−remote access function for the answering machine (refer to Chapter
11.8.6).

Setting the volume
If the volume of the answering machine is too high or low when playing back messages or liste-
ning−in to incoming calls, it can be adjusted to one of 10 levels.

Time announcement
After the message is actually played back, the answering machine announces the weekday and
time (24−hour clock) the message was received.

The current weekday and time are announced after pressing the s button.

Outgoing messages

11.5.1 Selecting the answering mode
The answering machine is provided with two, pre−recorded outgoing messages. A distinction is
made between outgoing message with message recording (OGM 1) and outgoing message only
(OGM 2). If no other outgoing message is recorded, the pre−recorded outgoing message is played
automatically. When the answering machine memory is full, it automatically reverts to the outgoing
message only (OGM 2) message explaining to the caller that messages cannot be left.

The outgoing message currently set is then played back.

Press and hold the button until the required setting
appears in the display. Then simply release the button.
The setting is saved. The announcement verifies the
setting made.

Activates the time programming function
Select the weekday and confirm
Select the hour and confirm
Select the minute and confirm
Activate the outgoing message mode.
Selects OGM 1 (with recording)
Selects OGM 2 (without recording)
