If the answering machine has already taken the call, you can take the
call at any time by pressing the Call button
. Recording of the
message is automatically stopped in this case.

If the answering machine is switched on, it takes the incoming call after a
predefined number of rings (refer to 10.4).

The answering machine can digitally save up to 60 incoming messages
with a total length of 19 minutes. The maximum length for each incoming
call is 2 minutes. When the memory capacity for incoming messages is
used up, no further messages are recorded.

If the volume of the answering machine is too high or low when playing
back messages or listening−in to incoming calls, it can be adjusted to
one of 5 levels.

It is possible to set the number of times the telephone should ring before
the answering machine takes the calls. It can be set to between 2 and 7
rings ( r2 to r7 ). In addition, the toll−saver" setting ( tS ) is available
to use the free pre−remote access function (refer to Chapter 10.12).

As soon as an incoming message or a memo has been recorded, an
acoustic signal is issued once a minute to indicate this.
