Start-up
Prior▪to▪first▪use,▪clean▪the▪kettle▪thoroughly▪from▪the▪inside.▪To▪do▪so,▪
open▪the▪lid▪by▪pressing▪the▪button▪on▪the▪handle.
A▪mesh▪filter▪is▪fitted▪in▪the▪spout▪to▪hold▪back▪large▪limescale▪and▪
calcium▪deposits▪when▪pouring▪out▪the▪water.
The▪section▪of▪the▪power▪cable▪not▪in▪use▪can▪be▪wound▪up▪and▪stored▪
on▪the▪underside▪of▪the▪base.
Connect▪the▪power▪plug▪to▪a▪shockproof▪socket.
Fill▪in▪at▪least▪so▪much▪water▪that▪the▪water▪level▪is▪visible▪on▪the▪
water▪level▪indicator,▪but▪no▪higher▪than▪the▪max▪mark.▪Close▪the▪lid.▪
Only▪then▪will▪the▪automatic▪boiling▪stop▪work▪reliably.
Set▪the▪kettle▪on▪the▪base▪facing▪in▪any▪direction.▪Only▪then▪push▪the▪
ON▪switch▪under▪the▪handle▪upwards.
The▪ON▪switch▪will▪only▪lock▪into▪place▪if▪the▪kettle▪is▪placed▪on▪the▪
base.
When▪using▪the▪kettle▪for▪the▪first▪time,▪do▪not▪use▪the▪boiled▪water▪
for▪preparing▪food▪or▪beverages.
