• Always pull the power plug out of the mains socket if the device is not going to be
used for longer periods of time.
• Make sure that the appliance is sufficiently ventilated when in operation. The air
intake holes on the front-plate and the ventilation openings on the rear side should
never be covered up. If installed in a rack system, always remove the two rack
covers before operation.
• For safety reasons, always disconnect the power plug from the mains socket
during thunderstorms.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for longer periods of time. This could
damage your hearing.
Maintenance
Check the technical safety of the power amplifier regularly, e.g. for damage to the
mains cable or to the housing.
If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, then dis-
connect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Dis-
connect the mains plug from the socket.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is any visible damage to the device
• the device does not function for some reason
• it has been stored for longer periods under unfavourable conditions or
• the device has been subjected to unsuitable conditions of transport
Observe the following safety instructions without fail before cleaning or servi-
cing the amplifier:
Live components may be exposed if the covering is opened or
components are removed.
Before servicing or repair works, the device must be disconnec-
ted from all sources of power.
Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has
been disconnected from all power sources.
Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. In such cases, dis-
connect the device from the mains supply and take it to a specia-
list.
Repair work must always be carried out by qualified persons fami-
liar with the hazards involved and with the relevant regulations.
If you have to replace fuses, ensure that you only use fuses of the same type and
rated current (see Technical data).

mains socket and consult an expert.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong
