Troubleshooting
In purchasing the FIDEK power amplifier you have acquired a reliable product which
has been designed using state-of-the-arts technology.
Problems and malfunctions can occur nevertheless.
We would therefore like to explain how to eliminate certain malfunctions yourself.
Always adhere to the safety instructions.
Problem Solution
Device not • Is the device switched on?
functioning, • Is the mains plug inserted into the mains socket?
LED "ACTIVE" (4) • Is the amplifier fuse defective?
does not light up • Check the mains socket. Does it have a proper supply of
power?
The "ACTIVE" • Are the volume controls (5 and 6) turned down to minimum
LED (4) are lit, (completely to the left)?
but no sound • Is the audio source properly connected to the input
to be heard sockets?
• Is the audio source switched on and its volume control not
turned down to minimum?
• Are the loudspeakers properly connected?
• Did the protective circuit react due to an error (short circuit
at output, overheating, overloading) (causing "PROTECT"
LED (4) to light up)?
One channel • Are the input connections in place; has one of the plugs
does not work become loose?
properly • Is the balance control for the audio source set in the middle?
• Is the volume control (5 or 6) at its minimum
(turned completely to the left)?
There is a • Are all the loudspeakers properly connected?

Repairs other than those just described should only be performed
by an authorised electrician.

Intended use

The FIIDEK power amplifier is used to boost any low level audio signals for semi-pro-
fessional or professional equipment and is to be switched between the signal source
to be amplified and the loudspeakers.
The amplifier is designed to run loudspeakers with a total minimum impedance of 2
Ohm per channel. The amplifier itself may only be controlled with a low level audio
source.
This product is only approved for connection to 230 V~/50 Hz AC voltage via sockets
with earthing contact.
Use is only permitted in closed rooms, do not use outdoors. Avoid all contact with
moisture, e.g. in bathrooms.
Any use other than that described above could damage this product and involves the
risk of short-circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be altered or modified and the housing may not be opened.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.
