1. SAFETY INFORMATION
• If using a mains adapter, connect it only to a properly installed power socket that
matches the product's technical data.
• When using a mains adapter, remove the power plug from the wall socket ...
... if problems occur during use,
... during thunderstorms,
... before cleaning the appliance, and
... when you are not using the appliance.
• Always grasp the plug itself, not the power cord.
• Make sure the power socket is easily accessible so that you can remove the
power plug quickly if necessary. Arrange the power cord so that people cannot
trip over it or get caught up in it.
• Make sure that the power cord is not jammed or squashed, and that it is not bent
back on itself. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
• Do not allow any objects to enter the device through the ventilation openings, as
they could come into contact with live parts.
• Do not use the product if the product itself, the mains adapter or the power cord
show visible signs of damage. Do not attempt to modify the product in any way.
Always have repairs to the product or the mains adapter carried out by our Service
Centre or a specialist repair shop. Incorrectly performed repairs can cause
considerable risks to the user.
Burns/Fire
• Do not recharge batteries or reactivate them by any other means. They must not
be taken apart, thrown on fires or short-circuited.
Damage to property
• Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the radio and on the
batteries are clean, and clean them if necessary.
• Use only the battery type specified in the technical data.
