Cleaning the pump
Proceed as follows:

Use a stiff brush to
clean and remove
all washing powder
residue.
Flush out all the re-
moved parts of the
dispenser drawer
under a tap to re-
move any traces of
accumulated pow-
der.
Use the previous
brush to clean the
recess, ensuring
that upper and low-
er part of it is well
cleaned.
After having
cleaned the dis-
penser and the
drawer recess, re-
place it and run a
rinse programme
without any laundry
in the drum to flush
away any residue.
Place a container
close to the pump
(A), to collect any
spillage.

Pull out the emer-
gency emptying
hose (B), place it in
the container and
remove its cover
cap.
When no more wa-
ter comes out, un-
screw the pump
cover (A) and re-
move it. Always
keep a rag nearby
to dry up spillage of
water when remov-
ing the pump.
Remove any objects
from the pump im-
peller by rotating it.
Use a pencil to
check whether the
pump wheel right at
the back of the
pump housing can
turn. (It is normal for
the pumping wheel
to turn jerkily.) If the
pumping wheel
cannot be turned,
please contact the
