3. Transport

3.1. Safety precautions for the transport

Keep in mind that the cabinets are heavy and therefore, the transport work should be
carried out by 2 persons at least!
Attention:
•
The transit support inside the door fugues should be removed only at the
assembly site!
•
Applies to safety cabinet SST 12/20 F90 and SST 11/6 F90:
The transit support in the backside should be removed only at the
assembly site!
Removing this transit support ensures the closing of the doors in case of
a fire.
It is only allowed to lift the PROTECTO safety cabinet by a suitable transportation at
the bottom side and it has to be moved in standing position. Tilting while lifting and
transportation should be avoided absolutely. Possible damages caused by tilting,
can reduce or destroy function of the instaled safety technology. Furthermore, jerky
placement of the cabinet should be avoided. The standing cabinet is basically
equipped with a pedestal. The cabinet can be lifted from the front side after the
pedestal is dismantled.

The standing cabinet with a width of 600 mm can only be lifted by
forks of a forklift truck. There is a danger of tipping over at non-
professional handling. Fix the pedestals after transportation back to
the cabinet, they are components and relevant to fire protection.
Otherwise, the cabinet loses his fire resistance and the permission.
