General aspects
TUNZE® RO Station 8550 (1) is a high-quality
reverse osmosis unit used to produce pure water.
In aquarism it is especially suitable for marine and
fresh-water aquariums. RO Station 8550 consists of
a 20 µm sediment filter, a 5 µm Carbon Sediment-
Filter,, a .5 µm Carbon Sediment-Filter, and a TFC
membrane (polysulfone compound). The average
retention rate is 98 per cent, whereby the share
of pure water amounts to 20 - 25 per cent of the
processed water. In order to ensure that the unit
can operate to its full capacity, the following points
have to be observed.

TUNZE® RO Station 8550 (1) est un osmoseur
inverse de qualité pour la production d'eau pure,
particulièrement indiqué en aquariophilie pour
les aquariums d'eau douce et d'eau de mer. Il se
compose d'un filtre à sédiments 20µm, d'un filtre
à cartouche 5µm charbon / sédiments, d'un filtre
à cartouche 0,5µm charbon / sédiments et d'une
membrane TFC (polysulfon). La capacité de
retenue se situe vers 98%, la part d'eau pure se
situe à 20 - 25% de l'eau consommée. Afin d'obtenir
