Thank you for choosing Peavey's Messenger Pro™ Sub low frequency speaker enclosure as part of your sound reinforcement system.

We take great pride in the design and manufacture of our units and you can expect top performance and reliability. Your Messenger

Pro™ enclosure has been rigorously tested before packing and despatch to your dealer. A built in crossover is fitted to optimise

performance under variable conditions. The nominal impedance of the Messenger Pro™ Sub is 4 ohms.

Hi output

We have equipped the Pro™ Sub with a high pass output socket. This provides a filtered output signal for operating a satellite enclosure

with a minimum impedance of 4 ohms. Enclosures such as the Pro 12/15 are recommended. The design of the crossover ensures the

total load presented to the power amplifier is never less than a nominal 4ohms.

Operation

The full range signal from the power amplifier is connected to the input of the Messenger Pro™ Sub. A dedicated lead with a 1/4" Jack

plug or Neutrik™ Speakon at each end is required to connect the hi output from the Messenger Pro™ Sub to the input of the satellite. The

satellite must be configured in full range mode. The full range signal from the power amplifier is filtered by the Messenger Pro™ Sub on-

board crossover into a high and a low signal. The low pass signal is supplied to the woofer in the Messenger Pro™ Sub, high pass

signals are supplied to the satellite and filtered again by the satellite's own passive crossover.

Satellite pole facility

We have equipped our Messenger Pro™ Sub enclosures with a satellite pole facility. Suitable satellites for pole mounting are the Pro

12/15. Other larger enclosures may affect the stability of the system. Suitable pole is the PS-B, part number #15900380.
