■ Remove the mains plug of the mains adapter from the plug socket if you are not using
it for a prolonged period.
■ It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you fi rst use the device in
order to achieve the maximum charging capacity.
3. Disconnect the mains adapter (7) from the mains power and then from the device.
Store it away in a location that is out of the reach of children and animals.
4. When the battery has run out, the control lampon the On / Off (1) alternates between
red and blue and the device turns off.

Assembling the Device

1. If you have not already done so, place the nozzle with scraper lip (4) onto the device:
– Plug the nozzle (4) as far as it will go into the suction opening on the front of the
collecting container (5) and check that it fi ts securely. The locking catch (3) must
be heard to lock in place.
2. If you need to, plug the telescopic rod (6) into the opening on top of the device. The
locking catch must be heard to lock in place.
3. Adjust the telescopic rod (6) to the length you require:
– Twist the top part of the extension rod anticlockwise to release the telescopic
rod (6).
– Extend the rod (6) to the length you require.
– Twist the top part clockwise to fi x the telescopic rod (6) in place.
When you want to remove the nozzle (4) again, press the release button (3) and at
the same time pull the nozzle (4) out of the suction opening.

Use

CAUTION!
■ Switch on the device only once you have ensured that the suction nozzle has been
inserted correctly.
■ Always switch the device off fi rst before you remove the nozzle!
■ On no account should the device be used to suck up the following:
– glowing ash, cigarette ends, matches, etc.
– infl ammable or explosive substances
– very fi ne dust (e.g. concrete dust), ash or toner
– pointed, hard objects such as large pieces of broken glass

1. First connect the mains adapter (7) to the device (see
picture) and then to a properly installed, easily accessible
plug socket. The control lamp on the On / Off (1) switch
then lights up blue and fl ashes while the device is charging.
2. Allow the battery of the device to charge up for around 3
to 3.5 hours. The control lampon the On / Off (1) is lit up
permanently in blue when the device is fully charged.
