■ Do not insert anything into the ventilation openings of the device and make sure that
these do not become clogged.

Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device

■ In the interest of your own safety, you should therefore inspect the device for damage
each time before you use it. Only use it if the device, the cable and the mains adapter
have no signs of damage!
■ Before use, ensure that the device is properly assembled.
■ Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm and heat-resistant surface for charging.
■ Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■ Only use accessories from the manufacturer.
■ Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or sharp foreign bodies (e.g. shards of
glass) have been sucked up.
■ Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not
to damage the device. Do not place any naked fl ames, e.g. burning candles, in the
immediate vicinity of the device, mains adapter, cable or plug.
■ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■ Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
■ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, wide temperature fl uctuations,
open fi re, direct sunlight, and do not expose the main unit to any wet conditions.
■ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These can
damage the surface.
