I nsertion thermometer with timer and alarm
functions
Item no. 1208068
Intended use
The thermometer serves as a probe and immersion thermometer in the private area.
Apart from that it provides a timer function.
Temperatures of foodstuffs, liquids or other products, which allow probing or immer-
sion, can be measured with the product.
The probe thermometer is not waterproof. Only the tip of the penetration probe may
be immersed in liquid.
The product should not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Power is supplied via only one battery (type see "technical data").
Use of the product other than for its intended use described here is prohibited and will
result in damage to the product. It may also related to hazards such as short-circuit,
fire, etc.
Please read the instruction manual thoroughly and keep this for reference.
The product as a whole must not be modified or altered!

F irst read the complete instruction manual. It contains important operating
information.
I n case of damage caused by non-observance of these operating instructions,
the warranty gets void! We are not liable for any consequential damage!
W e are not liable for property damage or injuries caused by improper use
or non-observance of safety instructions! Such circumstances will void the
warranty!
• The unauthorized conversion and/or changing of the product is not per-
mitted for safety reasons.
• The thermometer is not a professional measuring device Please use high
quality measuring equipment if a high degree of measuring accuracy is
needed is needed.
• The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate
displays or for the effects such displays can have.
• The measuring unit with the display is not suitable for high temperatures
which can be measured by the penetration probe. Operating the complete
thermometer e.g. in the oven, is not permitted.
• The thermometer should not be used in a microwave.
• Avoid excessive mechanical loading of the device. Do not release any
strong vibrations, high humidity or dampness. Only the tip of the penetra-
tion probe may be immersed in liquid.
• This product is not a toy and must be kept out of reach of children.
• Do not carelessly discard packaging material. It poses a potential danger
if children use it as a toy.
• Treat the product with care. Damage can be caused by impacts, blows or
dropping from a low height.
• Also please note the additional safety instructions in the individual chap-
ters of this manual.
• Please consult a specialist if you have doubts about the working methods
or the safety of the product.
Inserting/changing battery
P lease keep batteries out of reach of children.
D o not leave batteries lying around. There is a risk that children or pets
swallow batteries. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical advice
immediately.
L eaking or damaged batteries can cause burns when in contact with skin.
You should thus wear suitable gloves in such a case.
D o not short-circuit and disassemble batteries. Do not throw into fire. There
is a risk of explosion!
D o not recharge common batteries that are not rechargeable. There is a
risk of explosion! Only use batteries exclusively provided for this. Use a
suitable charger.
P lease note the correct polarity (plus/+ and Minus/-) when inserting the
battery.
• Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the thermometer.
• If necessary remove the discharged battery.
• Insert a new 1.5 V micro cell (AAA) at the correct polarity. The correct polarity is
specified in the battery compartment.
• Reseal the battery compartment cover.
• The battery is discharged and must be changed if the display contrast subsides or
the display no longer appears.
