5.3.1. Face seal replacement:
Removing the face seal:
• Release the face seal from the velcro
fasteners on the headband.
• Carefully take the face seal out of the
air duct and regulating screw.
• Remove the face seal by pulling over
the helmet.
Putting on the face seal:
• Pull the face seal through the air duct
(there is another one under this hole for the
regulating screw).
• Pull the face seal over the helmet
forwards. Make sure that the shield is pulled
fully over the front part of helmet.
• Fix the straps with velcro fasteners to
the headband. Check that the face seal fits
well along the entire circumference and there
are no holes through which air could penetrate
into the respiratory zone.
5.4. Half mask CA – 5
The half mask along with the filter-ventilation
unit protects against harmful gases, aerosols
and particles.
5.4.1. Putting on the mask with filter-ventilation
unit
• Fasten the belt with filter-ventilation
unit and screw the hose with RD40 thread into
it.
• Strap the fastening bands of half mask
together.
• Hang the half mask around your neck
so that the part with face piece is on your
chest.
• Hold the face piece on your face, pull
the head fastening system over your ears and
fasten it on the crown of your head.
• Tighten the fastening bands on the
face piece if necessary.
• Screw the other hose end into the
thread on half mask.
Check of correct fixing:
Check the tightness of half mask by covering
the inlet hole of the filter with your palm and by
breathing in create vacuum. The vacuum must
remain with holding your breath. If not, do the
following: tighten the fastening system bands
or use a mask in different size.
5.4.2. Taking the mask off
Take the mask off in reverse order to putting it
on.
5.5. Full face mask CA – 6
The mask can be used independently or as a
combination with increased protection
designed especially for handling of asbestos.
5.5.1. Increased protection:
• Attach a two-thread particle filter to the
mask, see the list of parts and accessories.
• Attach the supply hose of CA – 2F unit
to the mask.
The inserted particle filter does not replace the
filters at inlet to the unit!!!
5.5.2. Putting the mask on:
• Release the four elastic tabs by
moving the tab holders backwards and pulling
the tabs.
• Release the upper two non-elastic tabs
by opening the buckles.
• Put the head straps up, insert your
chin to the chin support in the face part and
pull the head straps over your head.
• Stretch the elastic tabs in pairs by
pulling at the free ends of tabs backward.
• Adjust the fitting of mask on your face
so that it fits firmly, but comfortably.
• Adjust the lengths of the upper pair of
tabs and fasten them with buckles.
