4. To turn off the device, set the On/Off switch to the O position and then pull the mains
plug out of the socket.

Steaming

1. If you have not already done so, take out the food container.
2. Insert the water reservoir in the base unit so that the arrow  (on the container)
points to the unlocked lock symbol

(on the base unit).
3. Fill the water reservoir with water no further than up to the MAX mark.
4. Place the cooking container on the water reservoir. Always make sure that the bot-
tom sieve has been inserted. If you would like to prepare full course meals, you can
cook potatoes or similar vegetables in the cooking container. The cooking container
does not, however, have to be fi lled when steaming.
5. Place the steamer adapter on the cooking container. You can choose from two pos-
sible applications:
Use the steamer insert with intermediate panel to cook different foods at the same
time (e.g. meat and vegetables). Make sure that the food with a longer cooking
time is at the bottom and food with a shorter cooking time is at the top.
Use the steamer insert without intermediate panel to cook a larger quantity of the
same food.
6. Place the lid on the steamer adapter.
7. Connect the device to a properly installed, easily accessible socket and move the
On/Off switch to the I position. 00 : 00 will appear on the top line of the display (dis-
play indicating the cooking time) and 0 for the specifi cation of the cooking time or 0
for the specifi cation of the motor speed in the lines below.
8. Cooking time: Push the Zeit button (time) once. The number of minutes will blink on
the display. You can now set the minutes with the + and - buttons. This will increase
or decrease the amount of minutes shown on the display by 1 minute increments.
Push the Zeit button (time) again. The number of seconds will blink on the display.
You can now set the number of seconds with the + and - buttons. This will increase
or decrease the number of seconds shown on the display in 1 second increments.
The maximum cooking time that can be set is 90 minutes.
9. Cooking temperature: Push the Temp button. The temperature blinks on the display.
You can now set the desired cooking temperature with the + and - buttons. The
temperature shown on the display will increase or decrease in increments of 10 °C
starting with 30 °C. The maximum cooking temperature that can be set is 120 °C.
10. Motor speed: Push the Motor button. The speed will blink on the display. You can
now set the desired motor speed with the + and - buttons. The speed will be in-
creased or decreased in increments of 1. The maximum motor speed that can be
set is 9.
The device is designed such that a motor speed must also be selected
together with the cooking temperature that was set. Otherwise, the device
won't start. A maximum motor speed of no more than 5 can be selected in
connection with a set cooking temperature.
