Use

ATTENTION!
❐ ATTENTION Hot surfaces! Parts of the device may become very hot during or
directly after use. Always use potholders or kitchen gloves when opening the lid,
removing the steamer adapter, the basket or cooking insert and when adding or
removing food. Only hold the food container and water reservoir by the handles!
❐ To prevent boiling over, do not insert the measuring cup in the lid opening while
cooking food (particularly cream or milk) at temperatures of 100 °C and over. Only
insert it when puréeing food at a high setting to prevent food from spraying out or if
you cook at low cooking temperatures!
❐ ATTENTION Scalding hazard due to steam emission! Be careful when opening
the lid or removing the steamer adapter. Hot steam may be emitted.
❐ Risk of cutting! The stirrer blade in the food container is very sharp! Be careful when
removing, inserting or cleaning it.
❐ Keep your hair, hands and other parts of your body away from the appliance when
using it and also thereafter! Be particularly careful when handling the appliance while
it contains hot liquid.
❐ Do not use any additional accessories. Only use accessories supplied by the manu-
facturer.
❐ The appliance must not be heated for more than 1 minute while it is empty. Do not let
the motor run when the appliance is empty.
❐ Make sure that the maximum fi lling capacity (MAX mark in the food container or
water reservoir) is not exceeded!
❐ Hold the measuring cup steady when working with a motor speed of 5 or higher, or
with the "Turbo" function.
❐ Never use the stir insert without blade protection.
❐ When using the stir insert, do not operate the appliance at motor speeds exceeding 4.
❐ If you remove the basket insert from the food container or if you remove the steamer
adapter or cooking container, be absolutely sure to place the insert on a heat-resist-
ant surface such as a pot trivet.

Prior to use

The appliance will not operate if the food container has not been seated properly
in the base unit or if the lid is not closed properly. In this case the display show
the symbol
also be in the correct position to correctly close the lid.
1. Install the appliance with clear space on a dry, level, solid and heat resistant base.
2. Turn the lid locking lever counter clockwise by 90° and press the unlatching button on
the lid. You can now lift the lid and remove it from the food container.
