7. Information on cables and connections

7.1 Audio connections

Before connecting the FC-9 to the mains power supply, make sure
that the mains voltage corresponds to that specified on the rear
panel. Always plug in the mains cable before switching on the FC-
9 and always switch off the FC-9 before disconnecting it from the
mains power supply.
All other cables should be connected when the FC-9 is switched
off and the mixing desk should be switched on before the FC-9 is
switched on. This prevents annoying and often dangerous switch-on
noises.

7.2 Cables and plug configurations

When connecting a mixing desk to the FC-9, always make sure the
shielded cable is intact. Unshielded cables may cause problems
relating to signal or hum interference. When connecting the
speakers, please use high-quality SPEAKON cables. Check the
condition of your cables on a regular basis.
