5.3 Illustration controls
All controls are fitted to the brushed aluminium front and back
plate.
(1) Main jack
Used to connect the supplied IEC mains cable.
(2) Power switch (on/off)
Press the power switch to switch on the FC-9. (Position I)
In position 0, the FC-9 is disconnected completely from the
230V power supply.
The FC-9 carries out a self test when switched on. The protect
LED (4) lights up during the test.
The FC-9 is then ready for operation and LED (5) lights.
(3) Sense jack
The sense cable required for CAS measurement is connected to
this jack. The measuring cable is one standard speaker cable
with a 4-pin Speakon connector.
The sense jack is only required for measurement, not for
operation of the unit.
Speakon configuration (3):
1+/1- out
2+/2- out
Both systems are measured, i.e. systems where bass and mid-
high signals are transferred via a Speakon jack can also be
measured.
(4) Output jack ch1 to ch 6
Connect your amplifiers to the six output terminals (4).
(6) Input jack ch1 to ch4
Connect your mixing desk to the four input terminals (6).
(10) ground- / lift switch
In the GND position, the signal ground is earthed. In the LIFT
position, the signal ground is isolated from the housing and
prevents humming as a result.

(5) Status LED power
The FC-9 is ready for operation and LED (5) lights.
(4) Status LED protect
Flashes for 2 seconds during self-test and ceases to glow if the
system is working.

Devices can be connected directly to the Fohhn-Net RJ-45
sockets (26), (27) via an RJ-45 patch cable (network cable).
(see connection diagram below)

(11) 6.1 Input switching contacts (11)
The FC-9 has 8 input contacts which are activated by opening
both contacts from one input or connecting them with one
another. Push buttons and switches can be connected to the
input contacts.
Button connected: the button can load a certain preset
(closes contact) or control the volume (increase volume) when
pressed.
Switch connected: two different presets can be loaded by
actuating the switch (contact closes / opens).
