6.3 Software Installation

The software requires Windows XP SP2/SP3 or Windows Vista SP1/
SP2, as well as the latest version of Microsoft.NET Framework. The
Microsoft.NET Framework is included on the CD and can be installed
from it. Fohhn Audio Soft should be installed subsequently, as well
as the Fohhn-Net Remote Control Software, if you desire to use the
input connections of the FC-9.

7. Configuring the FC-9 using Fohhn-Net
Remote Control Software
7.1 Starting of the software
The FC-9 has 8 input contacts. The inputs can be utilized to switch
between the different presets of the FC-9, as well as other Fohhn-
Net devices. For instance, a FC-9 preset and a preset of an active
Subwoofer can simultaneously be switched with one FC-9 input
connector. To achieve this, the active subwoofer must be connected
to the FC-9 via the Fohhn-Net interfaces. With two inputs and two
pushbuttons (shutters) connected to them, a volume control can be
realized as well.
A selection window containing the following options appears when
you start the Fohhn-Net remote control software:

Create new empty project:
Opens the selection window for a new project.
Load a project file:
Load a project saved on the hard drive.
Read a project:
Settings are read from a device and used to create a project.
Create a new project and choose the FC-9 as your project type. (As
an alternative, you can read the configuration out of the FC-9).
Make sure that only the Fohhn-Net Remote Control Software is
running or the Fohhn-Net is switched offline in Fohhn Audio
Soft.
All Fohhn-Net devices (amplifiers, active speakers) must
operate with Firmware Version 2.4.0 or later.
