programmes
Of course you can also carry out the following additional functions:
– pre-programme four different timer events for video recordings,
– lock the satellite receiver against unauthorized use,
– enter and sort your favourite TV or radio channels in own FAVOURITE
channel indices,
– copy or resort channel positions,
– enter manually the data of new satellite channels and transfer them into
the channel indices,
– change channel position settings, e.g. the transmission frequency, the
polarity or the sound settings,
– change the basic settings, e.g. the LNC oscillator frequencies,
switch the LNC voltage supply on and off,
– set the contrast, select various decoder settings.
On the following pages of this user manual you will find a
detailed description of these functions.
LOCK CONTROL
The »LOCK CONTROL« sub-menu
You can protect certain settings in the sub-menus, for example
– LNC SETUP
– channel SETUP
against unauthorized use.
You can in additioin protect your receiver against unauthorized use by entering
a personal identification number (PIN).
At the factory, the satellite receiver is programmed with the PIN
Note:
A locked channel position can only be selected after entering the personal
identification number.
If your PIN has already been entered after the last switching on from stand-
by, (for example to release a locked channel position), access to the sub-
menus is also possible again.
Only after switching the satellite receiver in standby mode again, access to the
sub-menus is locked again too.
As no channel switching is possible in the sub-menus, settings of locked
channel positions can neither be displayed nor changed without entering the
personal identification number.
The » MAIN MENU« and several sub-menus (e.g. » LANGUAGE«,
» TIMER «, » FAV O U R I T E S «, » DECODER/AV «) are available even if the
remaining sub-menus are locked.

Display the »LOCK CONTROL« sub-menu on the picture screen by pres-
sing the » « button twice followed by the »
2 Call up the »MENU LOCK« sub-menu using the »1« button.
