MANOMETER
with Manometer Adaptor
The manometer (diagram 1A), with manometer adaptor, is
designed as a training aid for clinicians to teach new and current
patients how to identify and self-regulate their own respiratory
pressure requirements during tracheoesophageal speech. Proper
airflow control results in better voice quality, less fatigue, and
longer duration of the tracheostoma adhesive housing seal.
INDICATIONS
The manometer (with manometer adaptor) is for use by qualified
clinicians as a training aid to teach laryngectomized patients how
to recognize and self-regulate their intratracheal pressure during
tracheoesophageal speech.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

The manometer (with manometer adaptor) is only indicated
to assess and monitor intratracheal speech airflow pressure
produced by laryngectomized patients who speak using a
tracheoesophageal voice prosthesis.
HOW SUPPLIED
The manometer (with manometer adaptor) is supplied non-
sterile in a kit. Replacement manometer adaptors are available
separately. The manometer is reusable, however, the manometer
adaptor is disposable and intended for single patient use only.
The manometer adaptor must not be reused by more than
one patient to prevent cross contamination.
